THE ROLE
The Retail Store Supervisor will be a positive, energetic, self-starter with a demonstrable track record of hitting and exceeding retail KPIs. Reporting to the Retail Store Manager, you will help lead a team of full and part-time retail sales assistants. This role is ideal for someone with strong natural sales ability, driven to succeed in retail management, and who enjoys a dynamic environment. You should be comfortable managing various personalities and situations with employees and customers alike, with previous experience demonstrating this strength. Daily Responsibilities
1. Supporting the Retail Store Manager in managing the team, store operations (including visual merchandising), and environment to meet sales, service, organisation, customer satisfaction, and profitability goals, while maintaining operational standards.
2. Developing team members through communication, positive recognition, performance management, and corrective actions as needed.
3. Assisting with new staff training and onboarding processes.
4. Supporting stock delivery, transfer, and stockroom maintenance processes.
5. Handling supplies orders, banking, and other administrative tasks.
6. Supporting in-store marketing activities and special projects in collaboration with the Store Manager and Head Office.
Required Skills
1. At least 2 years of retail sales experience.
2. Honest, hardworking self-starter with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
3. Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service, natural leadership skills, and a track record of achieving retail KPIs.
4. IT proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, POS systems, barcoding software, etc. Quick learner with the ability to troubleshoot basic technology issues independently.
