Supply Qualified Practitioner

Location: Private Day Nurseries across KeighleyJob Type: Supply / TemporarySalary: Competitive, Dependent on Experience

Are you a passionate and dedicated early years professional looking for flexible work across Keighley?

We are currently seeking a Supply Qualified Practitioner to join our team of talented and caring professionals working across a range of private day nurseries in Keighley. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner who is looking for the flexibility of supply work, while still making a significant impact in the lives of young children.

About the Role:

As a Supply Qualified Practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality early years care and education, supporting children's development, and ensuring that all learning activities are both fun and educational. You will be working with children aged 0-5 years across a variety of nursery settings, stepping in to cover staff shortages as required.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide high standards of care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

* Support children's individual development through engaging activities.

* Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children.

* Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.

* Work as part of a team to create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating environment.

* Observe and assess children's development, providing feedback to parents and staff as required.

* Maintain a professional attitude while adapting to different nursery settings.

Essential Requirements:

* Qualified Level 3 or above in Childcare (or equivalent).

* Proven experience working with young children, ideally within a nursery or early years setting.

* Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

* A DBS check (we can assist with this if you don't already have one).

* A positive, energetic, and proactive approach to work.

* Ability to adapt quickly and work well within different nursery environments.

Desirable:

* Experience in working with children with additional needs.

* Paediatric First Aid (although training can be provided).

* All applications are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, professional reference checks, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) in line with our stringent safeguarding policy
* Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained
* You must have legal right to work in the UK
* You must be willing to attend a registration interview

Veritas Education work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
