Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Construction Compliance Officer to join the Compliance Team within the Estates & Facilities Department. The role holder will support the delivery of arrangements managing contractor safety performance across our premises during construction activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the permit to work function acting as a permit authoriser.
* Develop contractor site rules and induction packages.
* Review risk assessments and method statements.
* Carry out onsite inspections to ensure adherence to University standards.
* Conduct assurance exercises on existing contractor and CDM control measures.
* Collate and report on data, identifying trends and making recommendations for improvements.
Qualifications and Experience
* NEBOSH Construction Safety General Certificate qualification or equivalent.
* NVQ Level 4/5/6 or BTEC diploma in Building Construction or similar.
* Demonstrable knowledge and experience of the control of H&S risks in construction work on either the client or contractor side.
