Role- Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Industrial Maintenance Electrician
Type- Permanent
Location- Stoke-on-Trent
My client works within the engineering sector and they are looking to take on an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, on a permanent basis, in the Stoke-on-Trent area.
The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
* HNC/ NVQ/ C&G qualified or similar in Electrical Engineering
* Excellent hands-on servicing or maintenance experience in a similar role
* Be confident in responding to faults
* Be able to read engineering drawings
* Have a methodical approach to work and excellent attention to detail
* Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
* Have good communication skills
* Working at height training would be desirable
* Any HV experience would also be advantageous but not essential as training can be given
The Electrical Maintenance Engineer role will involve:
* Ensuring that all electrical equipment is running safely and efficiently
* Working with both reactive and proactive maintenance methods
* Being involved in preventative maintenance tasks on all plant equipment
* Fault finding, test work and modifications to processes when required
* Fault find on control panels and wiring of motors
* Installing and replacing cabling as required
* Working on any breakdowns in an efficient and timely manner
* Work alongside other colleagues in a multi-disciplinary team
* Liaising with Contractors when required too
* Working from electrical drawings
* Working in confined spaces and also at height
* Always having Continuous Improvement and Health & Safety in mind
