🚀 About Fanbase

Fanbase is a fast-growing sports tech startup helping ambitious teams, leagues, events & federations grow revenue, fan engagement, and digitise operations. Our all-in-one platform powers ticketing, memberships, apps, insights, and more—with a focus on helping the sports industry modernise how they connect with fans.

We’ve achieved strong traction (£1m ARR in 2.5 years) and are now building the next phase of the company: increasing awareness and building brand gravity through content, community, and thought leadership—all to support our network of ambitious sports operators better.

🎯 About the Role

We’re looking for a Content & Community Manager to drive Fanbase’s voice in the industry and create meaningful spaces for clubs to connect, learn, and grow. This unique opportunity lets you shape how the sports industry perceives Fanbase while helping sports operators solve big challenges. Your mission: make Fanbase the most visible, valuable, and trusted name in sports tech.

Key Responsibilities

* Own and deliver a content strategy that positions Fanbase as an industry leader
* Produce high‑quality, creative, shareable content: blogs, newsletters, LinkedIn posts, reports, podcasts, and events
* Develop/partner with third parties to create engaging video content
* Turn insights from our members into category‑defining content and case studies to help our network of sports operators improve themselves and their organisations
* Manage editorial calendar and ensure consistency across all channels

Community Building

* Launch and grow the The Clubhouse by Fanbase community (Digital & IRL)
* Host AMAs, webinars, and events to connect clubs and share best practices
* Recognise and reward referrals and contributions within the community
* Create viral and shareable content that spreads organically within leagues and teams

Amplification

* Support Fanbase’s CEO and senior team with thought‑leadership content (LinkedIn, podcasts, speaking opportunities)
* Identify and secure podcast guesting and event participation opportunities
* Drive partnerships with leagues, media, and other organisations for exposure

Awareness & Growth

* Build brand visibility through social, community, and viral loops (e.g., “Powered by Fanbase” assets)
* Experiment with new content formats (leaderboards, dashboards, videos) to increase awareness
* Measure impact of content and community efforts – engagement, reach, inbound leads

✅ What You’ll Need

* 2–4 years experience in content, community, or marketing roles (ideally SaaS, tech, or sport)
* Proven ability to build engaged audiences across LinkedIn, newsletters, and communities
* Strong writing and storytelling skills – comfortable creating engaging thought‑leadership content
* Organised, creative, and proactive – able to own and deliver projects end‑to‑end
* Passion for sport and helping clubs grow through better fan engagement
* Experience building and scaling online or offline communities
* Track record of driving content virality or growth loops
* Familiarity with tools like Notion and Canva
* Relationships in the sports or sports media space
* 25 days holiday, your birthday off and the Scottish bank holidays
* Share options – we want everyone to be part of our success
* Dedicated monthly social budget
* Shape the future of fan engagement in sport
* Build Fanbase’s first dedicated community and content function
* Join a fast‑moving startup with strong product‑market fit and real momentum
* Work closely with the CEO and senior team – real ownership and impact
* Autonomy, flexibility, and a chance to leave your mark on the industry
