Job Responsibilities
* Coordinate and manage the agenda, papers, reports, venues, minutes, attendance, and follow-up actions for multi-agency and senior management board meetings and sub-groups. Ensure efficient and timely dispatch of business and respond to all associated inquiries appropriately.
* Manage and organize meetings, papers, research, filing, and general administration for the Children's Partnership Boards, Service, and Team, including financial processing tasks.
* Liaise directly with Partnership Board members and other senior managers of Cheshire East Council and partner agencies.
* Organize events for the Service, Team, and Children's Partnership Boards, including board meetings, sub-groups, conferences, development days, and multi-agency workshops.
* Manage administrative systems within the team and support cross-service work, dealing with incoming phone calls, email inquiries, correspondence, and filing. Ensure efficient delivery of administrative support across the team.
* Be prepared to undertake any work consistent with existing responsibilities at any location in Cheshire East to ensure effective deployment of resources.
Person Specifications
* Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent. Willingness and ability to obtain or enhance qualifications and training for development in the post.
* Experience: Extensive administration experience, preferably including minute taking and arranging meetings. Experience in a similar role within a local government environment is desirable.
* Knowledge: Broad knowledge of Children's Services, including policies, procedures, and legislation. Understanding of safeguarding children and young people, SEND, and data protection responsibilities.
* Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Good organizational skills, able to prioritize work effectively and escalate issues when necessary. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Attributes: Resourceful, self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy. Friendly, adaptable, and enthusiastic with a professional approach.
