Role Details: Working Hours: 4 on, 4 off: 2 x Days 6am-6pm, 2 Days Nights 6pm - 6am Role Type: Permanent, Full Time Role Location: Ebbw Vale Salary: Up to £54,500 Your Duties Will Include: Coordinate and delegate maintenance activities to ensure timely completion of work. Act as the responsible on-site engineering contact outside normal working hours. Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, demonstrating a high level of technical expertise. Complete and maintain accurate service reports and engineering documentation. Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation, industry standards, and company procedures. Maintain system data to support inventory management, purchasing control, and operational efficiency. Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations, promoting safe working practices at all times. Provide technical support, troubleshooting expertise, and innovative solutions to engineering challenges. Collaborate with the Engineering Department to optimise plant performance, utilities, and operational reliability. Follow established engineering standards, including asset management, contractor control, and safe systems of work. Promote and support a strong safety culture in partnership with site Health & Safety teams. Undertake additional duties as required by the Supervisor or Engineering Manager. About You: Demonstrate your multi- skilled engineering expertise through time served experience and/or qualifications. A time served engineer with BTEC Level 3 qualification is essential in mechanical or electrical engineering (as specified within the job advert). HNC or HND qualification in an Engineering discipline – desirable Good knowledge of technical Health & Safety requirements. Previous experience within a similar role and within a food manufacturing environment is desirable. Excellent trouble-shooter with the ability to resolve problems effectively, and within a cost-effective manner / within budget. Excellent communication skills with demonstrable record of influencing at all levels within an organisation. Confident decision maker who understands the commercial implications of decisions. Effective team player. Proven track record of delivering performance improvements. HACCP level 3 – desirable. Fully computer literate and proficient. Why Join Us?
