Job Summary
We are looking for a suitably‑experienced and motivated person to join our team as a receptionist / team administrative support at the Ilkeston Resource Centre. You will support services at this site and other DHCFT teams using the building, manage day‑to‑day operations of the building, and be part of the Erewash Adult Community Mental Team. The post is for 37.5 hours per week, Monday‑Friday 09:00‑17:00.
Responsibilities
* Excellent communication skills, polite telephone manner, and proficiency with IT programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and SystmOne.
* Use Electronic Patient Records, complete typing and update patient information.
* Lead on room bookings within the building.
* Support other administrators within the adult Community team.
* Provide a high‑quality front‑of‑house reception service, greeting clients, handling telephone callers and staff, and delivering great support.
* Liaise with various services that use the building and book rooms.
* Multi‑task in a busy office environment and prioritise conflicting workload demands.
* Work with the general public in person and on the telephone in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment.
Skills & Essential Qualifications
* Good standard of spelling and grammatical accuracy.
* Ability to type at RSA I standard (or demonstrable experience).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook) and Electronic Patient Records (SystmOne).
* Diary management and telephone etiquette dealing with sensitive information.
* Strong organisational, prioritisation and teamwork abilities.
Desirable Qualifications
* Previous clerical/administrative or front‑of‑house experience.
* Previous clinical team or NHS/mental health experience.
* CLAIT or other IT qualification; ECDL/CLAIT/IT qualification.
* Customer care training.
* OCR/RSA I type‑writing or word‑processing qualification.
* Empathy and use of electronic patient records.
Education & Training
* GCSE English Grade C or equivalent.
* RSA II typing/word processing (or recent equivalent experience).
