WORK OPTION: The NBA currently provides eligible employees the option of working remotely one day per week. _________________ Position Summary: This 12-month fixed-term position will be responsible for providing market intelligence and data research, mostly but not exclusively limited to the sports media landscape & more generally to the business of Sport (sponsorships, other sport Federations, regulations…). The person will keep up to date on market trends, new technologies (e.g. OTT services), competitive forces, and assess their impact on the NBA’s business in every market in EME. The position is also responsible for various one-off, data analysis heavy projects. The candidate will also be responsible for providing business functional support to the Europe and Middle East (EME) Media Distribution Department, assisting with the account management of all broadcast and digital partners and related supporting functions, including DMS Management, Ticketing, Programming, Scheduling, Broadcast Operations, media credentials, preparing weekly reports on department activities, preparing presentation-ready decks and documents for senior management. The position will liaise with the Legal department in matters relating to Due Diligence process, contractual obligations, and with GMD partners in order to effectively and efficiently fulfill the major responsibilities. Major Responsibilities: Research & Monitoring: In conjunction with intern support, responsible for updating GMD’s main data documents on markets, partners, prospects, and state of the Media and Sport industry. Needs to be updated daily with all the news sent by GMD Team as well as news from the NY office in regard to TV and Digital Perform research on specific requests that have to do with ratings, company information, company financials, recent events, etc. Monitor NBA ratings performance in conjunction with the Global Insights team based in NY. One-off Projects: Responsible for performing a variety of different types of data analysis based on discretionary requests from the GMD Team. The projects will mostly be of an analytical nature and will require comfort with numbers. Preparation of client facing and internal presentation decks. Business Support: Responsible for submission of partner marketing creatives. Ensuring all Media Partnership trackers and data documents are up to date (including contact lists, broadcast information, and partner programming & marketing contractual obligations) Leading Deal Memo and Due Diligence processes for GMD EME. Collecting information and updating the weekly Media Distribution team report. Handling EME ticket request and media credentials process and liaising between NY and our broadcast/digital partners, for NBA and affiliate leagues events and games. Managing footage requests for the EME region in coordination with the NY Footage licensing team. Being the point of reference for financial updates related to partners’ contractual obligations, liaising with the Finance team in London and NY/NJ on a regular basis. Reconciliation of the Media Partnerships marketing budget.
