Overview
My client, a global, market leading hedge fund, is looking to hire for their London-based Vendor Management team. The role will be trained to take on a global remit and act as the main point of contact and liaison between the fund and 3rd party software and technology providers. The role sits in a centralized vendor management function based in London, with coverage of vendor management and IT procurement across all jurisdictions the fund operates in.
This role involves collaboration with teams across the fund, including investment team heads/traders, technology, compliance and business management. You will manage contracts (renewals, adjustments and negotiations), build relationships with and onboard new software vendors, and help improve BCP and connectivity for employees in all jurisdictions. You will also lead project work focused on process improvement, mapping potential market vendors, and implementing new software/technology across teams.
Ideal candidates should have 2-5 years of experience in data or procurement. Experience with 3rd party vendor relationship management, IT procurement, contract renewals or licensing is advantageous. Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills are crucial. A degree or solid academic background in a relevant field is helpful.
Salary: base £65-£85k (year one) plus a significant bonus for top performers. The firm offers one of the best benefits packages in the London hedge fund space.
Responsibilities
* Act as main liaison between the fund and 3rd party software and technology providers; eventually take ownership of select vendors.
* Provide vendor management and IT procurement across all jurisdictions.
* Work with investment teams, technology, compliance and business management to manage contracts (renewals, adjustments, negotiations).
* Onboard new software vendors and improve business continuity planning and connectivity for employees.
* Lead process improvement initiatives and manage the introduction of new software/technology across the fund.
Qualifications
* 2-5 years of experience in data, procurement or related fields.
* Experience with 3rd party vendor relationship management, IT procurement, contract renewals or licensing is advantageous.
* Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Degree or solid academic background in a relevant field (preferred).
