Job Description
3. Providing timely, commercially grounded legal advice across a broad range of corporate and governance matters
4. Partnering with business‑line lawyers to anticipate risks, spot opportunities, and support strategic decision‑making
5. Supporting senior lawyers on complex matters and cross‑border initiatives
6. Working closely with stakeholders on M&A activity
7. Identifying and communicating emerging legal and regulatory issues
8. Monitoring relevant legal and market developments and assessing their impact
9. Managing external counsel where required
The Successful Applicant
A successful Legal Counsel should have:
10. UK Qualified with a minimum of 2 years PQE
11. Knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks within the financial services industry.
12. Strong skills in drafting and negotiating contracts and agreements.
13. Ability to analyse complex legal issues and provide clear advice.
14. Capability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
15. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
