Owen Reed is looking for a Receptionist to join a top law firm in London.
We are seeking a polished, personable and highly organised Receptionist to join the Facilities and Front of House team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with strong hospitality experience to deliver an exceptional client experience in a dynamic legal environment.
This role is based in London, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm.
The Role
As the first point of contact for clients and visitors, you will play a key role in creating a professional and welcoming environment. You will also support the wider office and facilities team with administrative and event-related tasks, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of reception and meeting spaces.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide a warm, professional welcome to clients and staff, ensuring an outstanding first impression
• Answer and manage telephone and reception enquiries promptly and courteously
• Greet visitors, notify fee earners of arrivals and escort clients to meeting rooms
• Manage all incoming post and deliveries throughout the day
• Maintain accurate visitor and delivery logs
• Prepare and serve refreshments for meetings as requested
• Set up, refresh and maintain high standards across all nine meeting rooms
• Support internal and external events, including set-up and post-event clearing
• Work closely with the Facilities team to host larger events
• Use Microsoft Teams and the switchboard system efficiently
• Provide occasional reception cover at other offices when required
• Produce documents, letters and emails for internal teams
• Carry out general administrative duties including scanning, copying, filing and CRM data entry
• Handle web enquiries, general emails and other correspondence
• Attend departmental meetings and training as required
Skills & Experience
• Previous experience in a Receptionist role within a professional services environment is desirable
• Hospitality experience is essential
• Experience handling telephone enquiries and operating a switchboard
• Strong administrative skills including scanning, filing and document production
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
• Professional, discreet and client-focused approach
• Confident communication skills, both face-to-face and over the phone
• Flexible and adaptable, particularly around event support
