We are working with a Main Contractor who are seeking a SHEQ Manager to join their team in the Multi-Utility sector in the Hertfordshire region. In this position you will lead a team of SHEQ Advisors and report to the SHEQ Director.

Responsibilities:
* Provide appropriate Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality input into the tender and contract award process
* Act as a point of contact for advice and expertise on Health & Safety matters to the project teams
* To review sub-contractor (SC) on-boarding submissions for approval and manage the database
* Lead the preparation of accident investigations, to establish root causes and communicate learning points to prevent re-occurence
* Challenge existing working methods to incoporate good practice during both the design and construction phases
* Have an in depth knowledge and provide advice on CDM regulation requirements
What do we need from you?
* Experience working in the Civil Engineering sector - Gas, Water, Power, Highways
* NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent)
* Excellent communication and managerial skills
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail
* Competent in Word and Excel
* Current full UK driving license
