We are looking for an Assistant Project Engineer Apprentice to join our expanding Exeter regional office. This is an exciting opportunity to join us and complete a Level 3 Apprenticeship whilst gaining hands-on experience in a growing and fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will support the Engineering Team with both office and field-based activities, whilst gaining a wide exposure to a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to; stakeholder communication, cost analysis, on-site supervision of works and liaising with adopting authorities.

Role and Responsibilities:
* Assist the Project Engineering team in reporting to the client.
* Assisting the team with key projects issues as directed by the Line Manager.
* Assist the Project Engineering team in the management of all stakeholders.
* Conduct site inspections with Engineering team and adopting authority.
* Perform cost analysis to monitor costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Works under close supervision to achieve time, cost & quality in all assignments.
* Liaising with various adopting authorities and pursuing adoption certification from these authorities.
* On-site supervision of site works, including managing the on-site team.
* Flexible where possible in role & team contribution.
Environment and Working Hours:
* The office is an open plan environment
* Company office hours are 8.30 am until 5.00 pm (4:30pm on Fridays)
Person Requirements:
* Math's & English GCSE Grade C/4 or above (required).
* Willing to learn about Project Engineering / Civil Engineering principles.
* Understanding of current industry trends (not essential).
* Excellent communication skills.
* AutoCAD skills (not essential).
* Microsoft Office Competent.
