This role is open to both graduate/junior and experienced level. It offers the opportunity
to work on cutting-edge projects in a wide selection of industries including Automotive,
Aerospace, Off-Highway and more.
You will play a key role in design, development, and integration of electrical and automation systems for testing solutions, including selecting appropriate hardware such sensors, actuators, and control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Produce detailed drawings and design specifications that meet contractual requirements and promote cost-effective design
* Produce detailed technical documentation including electrical schematics, control logic diagrams and operating manuals
* Ensure designs meet national and international standards, regulations and safety requirements
* Perform self-verification of tasks to ensure quality and troubleshoot issues, recommending modifications or corrective actions
* Ability to specify and liaise on the procurement of electrical assemblies and components
* Support sales in technical reviews of RFQ’s, including the ability to define a system outline from customer requirements
* Assist with technical and electrical support/troubleshooting to project managers, production manager and commissioning engineers when required
* Communicate with other departments and collaborate with suppliers regarding product design, operation and integration.
* Support installation and design reviews on Customer sites.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Minimum of two years industry experience
* Degree in electrical and/or automation engineering
* EPLAN and AutoCAD Electrical experience (training can be given in either package as required)
* UKCA/CE Design, Machinery Directive and Beckhoff Automation Technology experience
* Full clean UK Driving License
* Valid Passport
