Tradewind Recruitment are working in partnership with a well-regarded Further Education college in Northamptonshire to recruit a Sports Therapy Lecturer for a part-time (0.4 FTE) position. This is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic professional to support and inspire post-16 learners pursuing qualifications within sport, health, and therapy-related pathways.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in Sports Therapy and related sport science subjects to students aged 16+. You will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons, supporting practical learning, assessing student progress, and helping learners develop both their theoretical understanding and practical skills within the field.
This role would suit an experienced lecturer within Further Education, a qualified teacher with a background in sport or sports therapy, or an industry professional looking to transition into teaching. The college prides itself on providing a supportive learning environment and strong links with the sport and health sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Sports Therapy and related subjects
2. Support students in developing practical and theoretical knowledge
3. Assess student work and provide constructive feedback
4. Monitor student progress and contribute to learner development
5. Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
Requirements:
6. Degree or relevant qualification in Sports Therapy, Sports Science, or a related discipline
7. Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent) desirable but not essential
8. Experience teaching or working with post-16 learners is advantageous
9. Strong subject knowledge and passion for sport and rehabilitation
10. Excellent communication and organisational skills
