Redfox has been exclusively engaged to source a senior Technical Manager with deep potato expertise for a highly respected, innovation-led business within the crop storage and post-harvest sector.
This is a strategic leadership appointment for someone who thrives on technical challenge, has a broad understanding of seed and ware potato systems, and can confidently operate across both UK and emerging market environments.
The Opportunity
You will become the technical authority across the potato portfolio, leading on:
🔹 Post-harvest technology, sprout control and storage best practice
🔹 Potato physiology, crop handling and quality management
🔹 Technical support for growers, supply partners and global stakeholders
🔹 Developing and delivering technical programmes aligned to commercial objectives
🔹 Representing the business in industry forums and customer engagements
This role demands a blend of practical soil-to-store insight, scientific rigour and commercial acumen — you will be expected to translate technical knowledge into clear, impactful outcomes that support both product performance and business growth.

1. A potato specialist at a senior technical level
2. Experienced in the UK market, with additional exposure to emerging sectors a strong advantage
3. Comfortable leading technical strategy, customer engagement and cross-functional dialogue

5. A confident communicator with credibility across technical, commercial and grower stakeholders
