Sporty Teaching Assistant – SEBD and ALN
Location: Maesteg and Bridgend area
Employment: Full time and part time roles available
Hours: 8:30-3:30. Monday – Friday
Are you a sporty, energetic and resilient individual looking to make a difference in the lives of young individuals? We here at Teaching Personnel are recruiting an enthusiastic teaching assistant to support students in a secondary school setting with students that have ALN (additional learning needs) and SEBD (social, emotional and behavioural difficulties) with ages ranging from 11-18 years.
As a teaching assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring all students who face complex emotional and behavioural issues are fully supported.
Responsibilities
* Supporting students with SEBD, ASD, ADHD, and other ALN needs
* Engaging students in physical and outdoor activities to promote teamwork, confidence, and social development
* Building positive, trusting relationships with students who may display challenging behaviour
* Supporting emotional regulation and encouraging positive behaviour
* Working 1:1 and in small group settings to maintain focus and engagement
Qualifications
* Enhanced DBS on the update Service (We can help you apply!)
* Education Workforce Council application (We can help you apply!)
* 2 referee’s which can provide references
* A positive attitude with a strong will to help others
* A knowledge or willingness to learn how to support young people within an alternative education environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
