Responsibilities
* Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
* Administer medications accurately and safely according to prescribed schedules and procedures under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
* Monitor residents for any changes in condition and report observations to nursing staff.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
* Assist with meal preparation, serving, and feeding as necessary.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents.
* Follow all policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure resident safety and compliance.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Personal Care Assistant (PCA), or equivalent relevant experience preferred.
* Medication Aide certification required.
* Experience in a similar role or healthcare setting preferred.
* Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
* Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine desire to provide quality care to seniors.
* Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
* Physical ability to lift and transfer residents and perform tasks requiring physical dexterity.
Working Conditions
* Shift-based work including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
* Work environment includes exposure to bodily fluids, medications, and infectious diseases.
* Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, lifting, and transferring residents.
