Quantity Surveyor for the Southern Region of the business. To assist the Operations team in managing and overseeing all commercial matters on projects from tender handover, through delivery to completion. To provide Commercial input and advice to Project Manager(PM)’s and Engineers as necessary while managing the region’s commercial performance.
The role requires:
* Understanding of NEC Contract awareness of various options
* Awareness of different construction contracts & their relevant applications
* Support Project Managers/Operations Managers to ensure that the obligations and responsibilities of the different projects and other stakeholders are properly fulfilled
* Assessing cost of variations & attaining agreement with other parties
* Interpreting contractual implications
* Preparation of regular financial progress & anticipated final account reports
* Performing value management & cost control on projects
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
