ASC Teaching Assistant – Hailsham Teaching Personnel are currently working with a very supportive East Sussex school that are looking for an ASC Teaching Assistant to work with both KS1 & KS2 students on a 1:1 basis. In this role, you will be working with pupils that have additional SEN needs, focusing specifically with autism awareness. Currently, the school has multiple pupils across KS1/2 that have troubles adjusting to a mainstream classroom setting, and therefore need additional support via a Teaching Assistant. For this role, you would need to be comfortable working with SEN students on a 1:1 basis, with additional support being offered if needed. Alongside controlling the pupil’s behaviour management within a classroom setting. Job Requirements: 1:1 work with students that have additional SEN needs. Understanding of working with pupils that have Autism Weekly meetings with the school SENCO, for a behaviour support plan. Safeguarding understanding within a mainstream primary school Experience working with the KS1/KS2 curriculum.
