Key Responsibilities
* Communicate clearly with co‑workers, supervisors, managers, and guests using professional language.
* Exchange information via electronic devices (e.g., pagers, two‑way radios, email).
* Provide assistance and guidance to coworkers so that tasks are understood and completed efficiently.
* Prepare, proofread, and edit written documents such as daily logs, business letters, memoranda, and reports.
* Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work.
* Prioritize and respond to non‑guest and guest repair requests.
* Perform miscellaneous minor repairs, preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, and cleaning and lubrication.
* Recommend replacement of defective or outdated appliances, electronics, and equipment.
* Install, maintain, and repair appliances, electronics, and equipment.
* Store flammable materials in COSHH approved containment devices.
* Carry essential equipment (keys, phones, pager, tools, radio) to stay prepared for all tasks.
* Address guest service needs professionally, promptly, and with a friendly greeting.
* Assist guests with disabilities following guidelines (e.g., escorting, explaining actions, providing written directions).
* Maintain daily logs of operations, maintenance, and safety activities.
* Follow safety and security policies, including Hazardous Material Management Program procedures and emergency protocols.
* Identify and report unsafe work conditions or procedures.
* Adhere to policies and procedures for safe operation and storage of tools, equipment, and machines.
* Complete required safety training and certifications.
* Perform inventory management, requisition parts, and coordinate with other departments to resolve maintenance issues.
* Operate power lifts, calibrate controls, and assist in training new hires on equipment and procedures.
* Respond to emergency situations such as floods, blackouts, or fire alarms in accordance with disaster response protocol.
* Participate in quality assurance, recommend improvements, and monitor performance to meet quality standards.
* Handle sensitive issues with employees or guests with tact and confidentiality.
* Maintain proper documentation, files, and records following company policies.
* Ensure proper storage of stock items, determine appropriate storage methods, and manage warehouse operations.
Qualifications
* Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
* Experience: Proven skill in maintenance fields – plumbing, carpentry, electrical, masonry, or comparable specialties.
* No supervisory experience is required.
