Location: Portsmouth
Duration – 10 months
Working hours/pattern - FT onsite
Hourly Rate: £31.53 PAYE or £42.41 Umbrella

We’re looking for a Production Planner to join a busy manufacturing/operations environment, turning customer requirements into clear, deliverable production plans.
This is a great opportunity to play a key role in ensuring work is properly scoped, scheduled, and ready for delivery.
What you’ll be doing:
* Translating customer requirements into production-ready plans
* Creating task breakdowns, identifying dependencies, and supporting scheduling
* Estimating labour, materials, and subcontract requirements
* Working closely with procurement, supply chain, and production teams
* Carrying out pre-production checks to ensure work is ready to go
* Resolving planning issues that could delay delivery
* Supporting continuous improvement of planning processes and data
What we’re looking for:
* Experience in production planning, manufacturing, or shipyard environments
* Ability to read technical drawings/specs and interpret requirements
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Comfortable using ERP systems and Excel
* Able to manage workload and deliver to tight timescales
