Pharmacy Technician - Flitwick Superstore
Rate of pay starts from £13.38 an hour; this increases to £14.59 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week (minimum 12). Availability windows are listed below.

About the role
Customers are at the heart of everything we do. Every day you will have the opportunity to support our communities by reviewing customers’ use of medicines, checking blood pressure, testing for blood glucose levels and offering advice on how to manage their health.
Responsibilities
* Support the management of a modern pharmacy.
* Apply technical skills and customer focus to accurately dispense medication.
* Dispense prescription medicines with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Communicate with customers in a confident, friendly manner, offering information and visiting reasons.
* Offer appropriate advice on common ailments and medicinal products.
* Understand customers’ needs, explain product benefits, and sell suitable items.
* Advise customers on available pharmacy services.
* Support and deliver pharmacy services according to Standard Operating Procedures.
* Assess the legal appropriateness of dispensed prescriptions.
* Respond to clinical and legal queries from healthcare practitioners within competence.
* Respond to customer queries regarding prescription medicines and inform the pharmacist of complaints.
* Ensure dispensary routines and SOPs are followed.
* Maintain a clean, tidy, and clutter‑free dispensary and consulting rooms.
* Ensure all prescription administration is accurate and completed on time.
* Promote company initiatives and promotional activities within the team.
* Carry out all procedures accurately to protect profit and trade safely.
* Support the Pharmacy Manager and Duty Pharmacy Manager in supervising and developing team members through coaching and feedback.
* Maintain a personal development record with the GPhC and complete corporate and departmental training.
* Keep up to date with legal and professional developments in pharmacy.
* Maintain annual registration with GPhC.
Requirements
* Pharmacy Technician / Accuracy Checking Technician NVQ (or equivalent) qualification.
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician / Accuracy Checking Technician.
* Proof of completion of a recognised training course for an Accuracy Checking Technician / Pharmacy Technician.
* Proof of completing annual Continuing Professional Development requirements.
