Up Front Recruitment is working with a respected and growing surveying practice, now seeking a recently qualified Building Surveyor (MRICS or AssocRICS) to join their established team in Rickmansworth.

This is a unique opportunity for a Building Surveyor early in their professional career to develop within a supportive, technically focused environment that genuinely invests in its people. The firm generates all instructions in-house, allowing the Building Surveyor to focus on delivering quality surveys rather than chasing work. However, any new client relationships you build will be recognised as part of your annual review.

About the Role

As a Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for delivering Level 2 and Level 3 residential and commercial surveys in accordance with RICS Home Survey Standards. You’ll work closely with a collaborative and experienced team of Chartered Surveyors and consultants, receiving continual technical support and CPD, including funding for RICS membership and ongoing learning.

This is an office-based role during the probation period, after which a hybrid working arrangement may be considered.

Key Responsibilities

*

Carry out Level 2 and Level 3 property inspections and prepare detailed reports

*

Diagnose common and complex defects using sound building pathology

*

Advise clients with clarity, professionalism, and practical recommendations

*

Communicate findings effectively through written reports and direct contact

*

Meet a personal fee turnover target of £150,000 per annum

The Ideal Candidate

*

Recently qualified as AssocRICS or MRICS

*

Experience conducting property inspections and writing professional reports

*

Technically sound with an eye for detail and excellent communication skills

*

Motivated, reliable, and keen to build a long-term surveying career

*

Able to work independently while being part of a wider collaborative team

This is a fantastic position for a driven Building Surveyor looking to grow their career in a firm that combines high standards, internal support, and genuine reward for performance.
