Summary of Role: The post holder should be qualified to City & Guilds Advanced Craft Carpentry/Joinery/ NVQ level or have equivalent experience for this role and have a professional outlook. You will work as part of a highly experienced team undertaking statutory works, maintenance and minor small works. Our ideal candidate should have the necessary skills and experience to be accomplished and confident enough to work alone or as part of a team. Be able to complete a wide range of Carpentry/Joinery and building maintenance related tasks to a very high standard. Having a customer focussed 'right first time' and a 'can do' attitude is essential. The creation of high-quality joinery items and furniture, involvement with project joinery work, general carpentry and maintenance.
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week: 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday (less 30 minutes unpaid lunch break to be taken between 12.30pm and 2.00pm as agreed to ensure cover is provided to other areas of the Estates office). Flexibility in hours may be required to meet the demands of the post. In addition, attendance will also be required to provide cover for various events throughout the year including Commem.
You are required to fulfil Emergency Call-Outs (subject to standby rota and conditions determined by the scheme) at any time, including emergency work outside normal working hours in conjunction with any part of the School's estate.
Salary: £27,000.00 - £32,000.00 per annum dependent upon skills and experience
