Location: Fareham | Travel: up to 25% | Employment: Permanent
Are you a hands‑on supply‑chain leader with strong procurement and inventory experience? Join Parker Meggitt at our Fareham site as Supply Chain Manager to own end‑to‑end delivery from sourcing through to shipment. Leading a team of approximately 30, you’ll ensure on‑time delivery, drive cost and lead‑time reductions, manage supplier performance, and collaborate with production and overseas procurement teams to support growth and continuous improvement.
Parker Meggitt Fareham is a precision aerospace site of 320 employees delivering £160M+ in revenue. We design, manufacture, repair and components and systems for airframes, engines and the aftermarket across commercial and defence sectors, operating to exacting aerospace quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
 * Develop and execute sourcing and procurement strategies; negotiate supplier agreements and lead cost‑reduction programmes.
 * Play an active role in SIOP/IBP and NPI planning to align demand, capacity, inventory and CAPEX decisions.
 * Own site inventory (raw, WIP, finished), stores operations and obsolescence plans; improve turns and protect margin.
 * Manage supplier performance, risk and compliance; lead supplier audits and corrective actions.
 * Collaborate with Parker Meggitt Vietnam and Parker Meggitt Xiamen on sourcing transitions and direct‑ship arrangements.
 * Line‑manage procurement, inventory and stores teams; own budget stewardship and resource planning.
 * Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/Six Sigma) to improve Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery.
 * Maintain and report KPIs (OTIF/OTP, supplier quality, inventory turns, procurement savings) using ERP/demand planning tools (SAP or similar).
What We’re Looking For
 * Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent); Master’s desirable.
 * Minimum 5 years’ tactical purchasing or supply‑chain experience; MCIPS or advanced procurement qualification preferred.
 * Strong experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred) and demand‑planning tools.
 * Proven track record delivering cost and lead‑time reductions and managing supplier performance.
 * Experience of cross‑functional and international collaboration (sourcing transitions advantageous).
 * Practical knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies; strong problem solving and commercial acumen.
 * Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and people‑leadership skills.
Desirable
 * MCIPS or advanced procurement qualification.
 * Experience with sourcing transitions to offshore manufacturing sites.
