About the Venue
We are representing a thriving, well-established pub with rooms in Tetbury, Gloucestershire.

Their focus on quality, community, and hospitality has helped them build a strong reputation, and they are looking for a Sous Chef who shares their passion for excellence and locally sourced, seasonal cooking.
The Role
We are seeking a hands-on Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in leading a busy, fresh-food kitchen. You will play a key role in maintaining high culinary standards, driving consistency, and contributing to menu development using seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.

Key Responsibilities
* Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
* Ensure consistent preparation and presentation of all dishes
* Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness
* Lead and motivate the kitchen team during service
* Assist with menu development using seasonal and local produce
* Manage stock control, ordering, and waste reduction
* Ensure smooth service across lunch, dinner, and events
* Train, support and mentorjunior kitchen staff
* Work closely with front-of-house to deliver a seamless guest experience
Requirements
* Minimum 2 years experience in a Sous Chef, Junior Sous Chef or Chef de Partie role
* Strong experience working with fresh, seasonal ingredients
* Confident, hands-on approach in a busy kitchen environment
* Pastry knowledge is a strong advantage (but not essential)
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Ability to maintain high standards under pressure
* Passion for locally sourced food and modern British cuisine
* Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen compliance
