The Social Media Manager will play an integral role within Mulberry’s Marketing team overseeing the day-to-day running of Mulberry's global social media channels. You will work closely with the wider Marketing, Image, and teams to support our mission to go back to the Mulberry Spirit and become Britain’s best-loved lifestyle brand.
You will be a confident communicator with an expert understanding of the social media landscape and its complexities. As an analytical thinker, you will have the ability to turn data into actionable insights to support channel growth. You will make strong connections with your peer group across the business. You will have a good perspective on what creative works on the platform.
This role is offered as a 12-month maternity cover contract with the successful candidate ideally joining at the beginning of November. Hybrid Working applies to this role with 3 days per week in the office and maximum 2 days working from home.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategy:
- Develop organic plans for brand and product launches, key cultural moments and events.
- Own social media strategic responses to marketing campaign briefs, partnering with channel leads and marketing stakeholders to ensure alignment.
- Educate internal teams around best practice social media strategies, new formats and content.
- Deliver innovative campaigns through developing first to market opportunities.
Content:
- Work with the creative team to generate ideas and requirements for social content in response to. campaign briefs, working closely with creative and marketing stakeholders.
- Work with creative teams to ensure content is optimised for platforms and adheres to best practice.
- Collaborate with communications and creative teams to identify relevant creators and influencers to work with across key platforms Instagram, Facebook & TikTok.
Publishing:
- Manage the planning and optimisation of content across Mulberry’s global social channels.
- Communicate plans to internal marketing and creative stakeholders.
- Work closely with the paid team on optimisation of content.
Localisation:
- Support on local social activations, adapting global strategies to APAC platforms, working with regional teams to inform tactics and messaging.
- Brief external media agency on organic campaign plans across key APAC platforms, managing content delivery and final sign off.
- Collaborate with regional stakeholders, creative and external agencies to plan and create content for APAC platforms.
Reporting & Insights:
- Deliver weekly, monthly and campaign reporting across organic activity including competitor benchmarking.
- Conduct social research, listening and monitoring to understand brand sentiment and performance to inform future thinking.
- Communicate and distribute performance reports to key stakeholders.
Culture:

Skills & Experience Required:
- Expert knowledge and experience across all aspects of social media marketing, with a clear understanding of the nuances between owned, paid and earned media.
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with experience working within an in-house social media / marketing team or digital agency.
- An understanding of APAC social platforms including WeChat, Red, Weibo, Line and KakaoTalk.
- Demonstrates attention to detail and ability to multi-task with a track-record of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communicator who builds strong internal and external relationships.
- Strives to be innovative, with a keen interest in trends, new initiatives and keeping on top of the competition.
