Salary: Main/Upper Pay Scale together with TLR 2.2 (currently £5813.04)

Governors of Bishop Perowne are seeking to appoint an exceptional, enthusiastic and inspirational Second in charge for our Mathematics department. The successful candidate must have a passion for learning and the talent and determination to ensure all students receive first class teaching.
As the Second in Department, you will help lead on all aspects of Mathematics teaching, promoting interest in the Subject across the full age range of the school. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher looking to further their career and we actively encourage applications from teachers looking to take on their first responsibility, as well as from experienced colleagues. There will be a comprehensive middle leadership training programme available for the successful candidate.
You will have:
•The ability to help lead a team of outstanding teachers
•Experience of teaching Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4
•The passion and skills within Mathematics to bring the best out of our aspirational students
•A commitment to continuous professional development (CPD), creative and engaging skills with the ability to enthuse and challenge student.
We will expect you to support in the management and development of a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum for the subject area. There is the opportunity to make a big impact on standards of student attainment and achievement through your fresh ideas, motivational skills and keen focus on improvement.
