Credit Controller (Temporary Contract - 3 Months Initially)
Location: Leatherhead
Working Pattern: Hybrid - 2 days office-based, remainder remote/home working
Contract: Temporary (initial 3-month assignment)
Salary:
1. 1 position: circa £40,000 equivalent annual rate
2. 2 positions: circa £34,000 equivalent annual rate
We are currently recruiting for three experienced Credit Controllers to join a busy finance team on an initial 3-month temporary basis. These roles offer a hybrid working arrangement with two days per week in the office in Leatherhead and the remainder working from home.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong credit control and collections experience who can quickly build relationships, manage customer accounts effectively, and support cash flow performance within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
3. Managing a portfolio of customer accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding debt
4. Chasing overdue invoices via phone and email
5. Resolving account queries and disputes efficiently
6. Allocating incoming payments and reconciling accounts
7. Maintaining accurate customer and collection records
8. Producing aged debt reports and escalating high-risk accounts where necessary
9. Building positive working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
10. Supporting month-end reporting and finance team activities as required
Skills & Experience Required
11. Previous experience within Credit Control, Accounts Receivable, or Collections
12. Strong communication and negotiation skills
13. Ability to manage workload independently and prioritise effectively
14. Good attention to detail and accuracy
15. Confident using finance systems and Microsoft Excel
16. Available to start at short notice or immediately preferred
