Design & Technology Technician
8.30am-4.30pm Wednesday-Friday
22.5 Hours per Week
Grade 5 (SCP 7-11)
Term time + 6 days (FTE 10 days)
Actual salary: £13,695 - £14,597 (25,584- £27,269 FTE)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hardworking, motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our successful Design & Technology department.
You will:
· Support pupils in accessing learning activities under the guidance of the teacher.
· Provide timely and accurate preparation and use of specialist equipment/resources/materials as required by staff/ curriculum/ lesson plans etc.
· Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and productive working environment.
· Monitor and manage stock and supplies, cataloguing as required.
· Demonstrate and assist others in safe and effective use of specialist equipment/materials.
· Report to the teacher or line manager on pupil progress and achievements.
You will be/have:
· Experience of working with young adults aged 11-16.
· 5 GCSE's at grades A*-C including Maths and English.
· A good standard of education, especially in numeracy and literacy (or willingness to work towards).
· Good negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills with staff and pupils.
· The ability to relate well to children and adults.
· The ability to work as a member of the team.
