Registered manager required for our 25 bedded residential care home in Oswestry.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to oversee the running of our residential care home and to help the home regain its "good" CQC Rating, (The rating awarded for 40 years) Following a poor report 6 months ago, improvements have been made which will be outlined in an updated "soon to be published" CQC report.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in a care home environment. As a registered manager you will be responsible for ensuring good quality care to all residents, while managing staff and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Duties
· Lead and supervise the care team, ensuring effective delivery of care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
* Develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance the quality of care within the home.
* Manage daily operations of the care home, including staffing, some budgeting, and resource allocation.
* Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and ensure that appropriate care plans are developed and followed.
* Liaise with healthcare professionals, families, and external agencies to promote resident welfare and support.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain high standards of health and safety within the facility.
* Foster a positive environment that encourages teamwork, professional development, and leadership among staff members.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Registered Manager within a care home (3 years minimum)
* Strong knowledge of care home practices, care plans, and regulatory frameworks governing care homes.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
* Level 5 Qualification required for Registered Care Home Managers
* Experience of running a care home with the rating "good"
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with a compassionate approach to resident care.
