Construction Project Manager – Overview
We are currently working with a Construction & MEP Contractor based in Southampton who are looking for a Contracts or Projects Manager to join their growing team. They have recently secured several project and contract wins, mostly public authority construction works for clients such as NHS & Hampshire County contracts. Project values vary from £350k to £5 million.
The company initially started as a Mechanical and Electrical contractor however in the last couple of years, they have open up the construction side of the business which is growing from strength to strength. You would be a key addition to the team and there would be plenty of progression opportunities available to you as the department expands.
You will manage 3-5 projects at any one time with full responsibility for project planning and coordination, site and staff management, stakeholder engagement, budget and schedule management and much more. You will develop and maintain project schedules, act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, provide regular progress updates, hold coordination meetings, and ensure transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Ideally, you will have experience working in live environments such as hospitals, with an understanding of public safety, and operational continuity. Experience in NHS, Local Authority or Healthcare projects would be distinct advantage for this role. The company take on projects throughout the South, with a focus on Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire, Somerset and similar regions. You will split your time between site and the office and have full management of your own diary.
