About You:
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to help create a safe, clean, and inspiring environment for our students and staff. As a Facilities Assistant at Thistley Hough Academy, you will play a vital role in supporting student achievement by maintaining a positive and well-kept learning space. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys practical tasks, and values being part of a team that directly contributes to the success and safety of the school community. Our ideal candidate will have:
1. A Maintenance Background Level 2 or above
2. Awareness of COSHH regulations
3. Previous maintenance experience
4. Good organisational skills
5. Awareness and understanding of working in a school environment
About the Team:
The facilities team play a crucial role in maintaining a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment. They manage everything from building maintenance and security to ensuring that classrooms and common areas are well-equipped and functional. By coordinating with other schools in the trust, they can share resources and best practices, enhancing the overall efficiency and quality of the facilities. Their efforts ensure that students and staff have a comfortable and supportive environment, allowing them to focus on education and personal development.
