Overview
We are seeking a motivated and creative Year 2 Teacher to join welcoming primary schools across the Cambridge area. You will help pupils consolidate their Key Stage 1 learning, prepare for Key Stage 2, and inspire a lifelong love of learning. Beginning ASAP.
Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Year 2 curriculum, including SATs preparation.
* Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND or EAL.
* Track, assess and report on progress, setting clear next steps for improvement.
* Maintain a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
* Collaborate with colleagues, parents and carers to support pupil wellbeing and achievement.
* Contribute to whole-school activities, trips and enrichment opportunities.
Ideal Year 2 Teacher
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or recognised equivalent.
* Experience teaching Year 2 or Key Stage 1 is desirable; enthusiastic ECTs are welcome.
* Strong classroom management and organisational skills as a Year 2 Teacher.
* Ability to inspire, motivate and engage young learners.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
* Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
