Production Line Leader Newtownards Area Vickerstock are working in partnership with a leading food manufacturing business seeking to appoint a Production Line Leader to join its growing operations team.Reporting to the Production Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of production operatives, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, product quality and operational efficiency.The good bit:Salary: circa £27500-£29,500 DOEDay shift working pattern, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pmPermanent full-time positionOpportunity to join a well-established and growing food manufacturing businessSupportive team environment with opportunities for developmentYour day to day: Leading and motivating a team of production operatives to achieve daily production targetsEnsuring production lines are correctly set up and all pre-start checks are completedOrganising packaging materials and resources required to fulfil production plansExecuting production schedules in line with customer orders and operational requirementsMonitoring product quality and ensuring compliance with customer specificationsCompleting all relevant production and quality documentation accuratelyTraining and supporting new employees and agency staff on departmental proceduresEnsuring compliance with food safety, health & safety and company standardsMonitoring line performance and identifying opportunities for continuous improvementLiaising with production, technical, hygiene and management teams to ensure efficient operationsMaintaining high housekeeping standards across the production areaSupporting internal and external audits and ensuring audit readiness at all timesYour essential ingredients:1years' experience within a food manufacturing or food production environmentStrong communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate a teamAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced production environmentProactive approach to problem solving and achieving production targetsStrong organisational skills and attention to detailAnd even better if you have (but not a deal breaker):Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and digital recording systems such as tablets or iPadsFood Safety Level 2 qualification or aboveHealth & Safety and/or First Aid qualificationsExperience supplying high-profile retail customersFlexibility to support operational requirements when requiredYour next step...
