Vehicle Technician Vacancy in Corby - Independent Garage
1. Location: Corby
2. Basic Salary: Up to £40,000 (depending on experience)
3. Working Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday
4. 1 in 2 Saturday Mornings
We are recruiting a Vehicle Technician to join a well-established, highly regarded independent service and repair centre in Corby. This role is open to Service / Repair Technicians through to more experienced Diagnostic Technicians, with salary and responsibilities tailored to your experience.
You’ll be working in a modern, well-equipped workshop with multiple ramps, MOT bays, and electric/hybrid vehicle facilities, as part of a friendly, close-knit team with approachable management!
Depending on your experience, the role will include some or all of the following:
5. Routine servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs
6. Diagnostic checks and fault finding
7. Cam belt, clutch, and turbo replacements
8. Vehicle Health Checks (VHCs) and accurate use of the Garage Management System
9. Liaising with Service Advisors and customers where required
10. Completing work to a high standard and within agreed timeframes
11. Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional workshop environment
Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:
12. NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
13. Minimum 3 years’ workshop experience preferred
14. Full UK Driving Licence
15. Confident with service and repair work; strong diagnostics skills advantageous
16. MOT Tester qualification beneficial but not essential
17. Own tools required (specialist tools and diagnostics provided)
18. Hybrid/Electric vehicle experience an advantage
Benefits for the Vehicle Technician:
19. Basic salary up to £40,000, depending on experience
20. Service / Repair level: up to £34,000
21. Senior / Diagnostic level: up to £40,000
