Pharmacy Technician / Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT)
A growing UK laboratory is seeking a detail-oriented Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) to support the safe and compliant manufacture of pharmaceutical products.
Working closely with the Lab Manager and Compounding Pharmacist, you will play a key role in ensuring treatments are produced to the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform accuracy and quality checks on manufactured batches against specifications
* Verify calculations, raw material data, and electronic batch records
* Investigate manufacturing deviations and non-conformances
* Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for failed batches or near misses
* Conduct quality checks on incoming raw materials and equipment
* Maintain accurate batch documentation and SOPs
* Assist with internal audits, risk assessments, and compliance activities
* Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and regulatory requirements
Requirements
* Accredited Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) qualification
* Active registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
* Knowledge of GMP and regulated laboratory environments
* Strong attention to detail, communication, and documentation skills
* Experience with quality systems, near miss reporting, and process improvement
* Buttercups mentoring experience (desirable)
