About the Role We are seeking an experienced SEMH Tutor from any subject background to provide personalised, impactful support to students in Newbury. You will work with young people facing a range of social, emotional, and mental health challenges; including anxiety, dyslexia, and low self-esteem, helping them realise their strengths and achieve their potential. Key responsibilities: Assessing individual needs and designing tailored schemes of work Planning and delivering engaging, accessible lessons Creating a safe, nurturing environment where students feel listened to and valued Building trusting relationships that foster academic and emotional growth Monitoring progress and adapting strategies for maximum impact Liaising with families, schools, and professionals to support holistic progress About You You are a patient, empathetic educator who can: Assess, plan, and deliver bespoke lessons for a range of SEMH needs Demonstrate experience supporting students with anxiety, dyslexia, and low self-esteem Adapt your teaching style to suit individual learners Communicate with warmth, clarity, and professionalism Champion every student’s confidence and resilience You must have QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or a minimum of 5 years’ teaching or tutoring experience.
