When you work in this school your responsibilities will include:
14. Teach all areas of the primary curriculum
15. Take responsibility for the progress of a class of primary-age pupils
16. Organise the classroom and learning resources and create displays to encourage a positive learning environment
17. Plan, prepare and present lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class
18. Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
19. Maintain discipline
20. Prepare and mark work to facilitate positive pupil development
21. Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils' development
22. Ensure that pupils are safe and that all child protection and safeguarding measures are followed in accordance with school and national policies
23. Provide feedback to parents and carers on a pupil's progress at parents' evenings and other meetings
24. Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, and support colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
25. Work with other teachers, teaching assistants and other relevant professionals to plan and coordinate work
26. Keep up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
27. Organise and take part in school events, outings and activities, which may take place at weekends or in the evening
28. Liaise with colleagues and work flexibly, particularly in smaller schools
29. Work with parents and school governors to maximise their involvement in the school and the development of resources for the school
30. Meet with other professionals such as education welfare officers and educational psychologists, if required.
These are some of the requirements that we need from you:
31. Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to get one
32. Experience working with children or young people with additional care needs
33. 2 recent professional references
34. Experience with behaviours that are challenging
35. A calm & caring personality
36. A strong and resilient personality and be committed to pupils development
37. Reading, writing, numeracy and communication skills
38. Team Teach trained - or willing to attend training
