Overview of the role:
We are looking to hire an experienced Procurement Manager. Reporting to the CFO, you will play a key role in ensuring timely, efficient, and effective procurement of goods and services required for operations of our four distinct business areas. You will oversee the procurement of goods and services, ensuring that all procurements meet the standards of quality, cost-effectiveness, and timeliness required by Delkia Limited. You will identify areas of opportunities and risks, define procurement / efficiency plans, and drive hands-on implementation of procurement process / RFQs / contracting / savings tracking.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience working within a small to medium-sized enterprise (SME) environment, demonstrating the ability to adapt to dynamic and fast-paced settings. They must be prepared to take a hands-on approach in both the strategic management and day-to-day delivery of procurement activities, ensuring seamless operations and effective team leadership.
What you’ll be responsible for:
* Develop and Implement Procurement Strategies: Create and execute procurement strategies that align with Delkia Limited's objectives and operational needs.
* Team Management - Oversee and manage the procurement team, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure high performance and professional development. Conduct regular performance reviews, set objectives, and foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
* Supplier Management: Maintain and enhance relationships with suppliers, ensuring compliance with contracts and resolving any issues.
* Market Research: Conduct market research to identify potential vendors and suppliers and analyse market trends.
* Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure the best possible prices and agreements.
* Procurement Process Management: Oversee the procurement process from initiation to final receipt and approval of goods.
* Budget Management: Manage the procurement budget, prepare cost analyses, and generate reports.
* Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant safety standards and regulations.
* Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement innovative procurement practices.
* ERP System Commissioning/Implementation: Demonstrated expertise in planning, executing, and managing the rollout of ERP systems within the procurement function. This includes system selection, configuration, integration, training, and ongoing support to ensure seamless adoption and optimization of procurement processes.
What you’ll bring:
* Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. An advanced degree such as an MBA is advantageous.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a management role within procurement or purchasing.
* Proven experience (preferred) in line management, including leading, mentoring, and developing a team within the procurement function.
* Professional certifications such as Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (MCIPS) is preferred.
