Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced HR professional who has experience in a fast moving retail/wholesale environment and who can influence, coach and support the Regional Director, the Regional Support and Business Centre teams in improving customer satisfaction and cash profit.
You will support 25+ Branches in and around the North West region. You will be able to base yourself from any of the locations on the region. You will be required to travel to all locations on the region and attend occasional meetings in the Head Office, based in Wellingborough.
Key Responsibilities
* Influence and support the Regional Director, business centres and sales teams to ensure we recruit and induct the Right People at the Right Time in the Right Place, whilst maintaining and developing regional succession plans that are fit for purpose.
* Work with the Regional Director and Support team to improve performance of all managers within your region.
* Understand the business and customer needs to provide commercially sound solutions or decisions and offer constructive feedback and coaching where required.
* Identify people related opportunities for improvement and / or efficiency and facilitate appropriate HR interventions.
* Ensure consistency, business risk and commercial impact are always considered when advising on HR policies.
Minimum Experience & Qualifications
* HR management and operational experience in a fast moving retail/wholesale environment.
* Ideally have experience of managing an in-house HR function and Line Managers.
* Good knowledge of HR best practice, Equal opportunities and Employment Law legislation.
* Sound commercial judgment and understanding of business needs.
* Influencing Skills.
