Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking a dedicated Lecturer to join our Construction and Building Services team, delivering high-quality teaching and learning across a range of programmes including Study Programmes and Apprenticeships. You will:
* teach personal development, employability, and life skills
* support vocational and technical curriculum delivery across college departments
* plan engaging lessons, assess student progress, and maintain accurate records
* act as a course tutor for a designated student group
* provide both academic and pastoral support to help students overcome barriers to learning
* work with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the curriculum offer
* contribute to quality assurance processes and support students with additional needs through referrals and signposting
* demonstrate flexibility and an understanding of diverse learner needs within Construction and Building Services
Qualifications and Experience
* Degree or equivalent vocational/technical qualification
* Experience teaching or training students who may present challenging behaviours and attitudes
* Strong awareness of best practices in the subject area and ability to apply them to curriculum development
* Understanding of student-centred learning and ability to build effective relationships with learners
* Ability to make considered decisions and, when appropriate, take calculated risks to support student progress and innovation
Remuneration and Benefits
* Salary: £29,681.00 - £38,281.00 per annum
