We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Communications and Equality, Diversity, Inclusion (EDI) Manager to join our team. As the Communications and EDI Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive communication strategies that promote equality, diversity, and inclusion within our organization. You will play a crucial role in fostering an inclusive work environment and driving positive change.
1. Develop and execute a robust communications strategy to promote equality, diversity, and inclusion initiatives internally and externally.
2. Create engaging and impactful content, including written materials, presentations, and multimedia assets, to effectively communicate our organization's commitment to EDI.
3. Collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communication channels.
4. Manage internal communication platforms, such as newsletters, intranet, and social media, to raise awareness about EDI-related events, programs, and initiatives.
5. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in EDI communications and incorporate them into our communication strategies.
6. Partner with HR and leadership to develop and deliver training programs and resources that promote a diverse and inclusive workplace culture.
7. Provide guidance and support to different departments and teams to help them meet their EDI objectives.
8. Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including community organizations and partners, to enhance our organization's visibility and impact in promoting EDI.
9. Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of communication initiatives, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement.
10. Provide accurate and timely monthly performance data on EDI, analyzing and interpreting the data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
11. Investigate any potential breaches of EDI protocols, ensuring prompt action is taken to address and resolve issues.
12. Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in EDI, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
13. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement comprehensive strategies and procedures in relation to EDI, ensuring compliance and promoting a diverse and inclusive work environment within International Removals (IR)
14. Drive education initiatives, organizing training sessions and workshops to enhance staff members' understanding of EDI principles and practices within International Removals (IR)
Requirements:
15. Proven experience in developing and implementing communication strategies, preferably with a focus on equality, diversity, inclusion, communications, Public Relations, or a related field
16. Strong understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion principles and best practices.
17. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content for diverse audiences and platforms.
18. Proficiency in using various communication tools, including social media platforms, content management systems, and multimedia software.
19. Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
20. Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
21. Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data to drive decision-making.
22. Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and compliance requirements related to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
23. Demonstrated commitment to personal and professional development in the field of EDI.
