We are looking for a suitably experienced Clinical or Counselling Psychologist or Equivalent Applied Psychological Practitioner with relevant post‑qualification experience to be the principal psychological practitioner in the Community Mental Health Team at Lyndon Clinic, Solihull, with leadership over the 18‑25 CMHT psychological provision across Solihull, and to undertake a leadership role within the community transformation model. There are exciting changes under the community transformation model and the successful applicant would be heavily involved in this. We encourage applicants from Clinical/Counselling Psychology and also Applied Psychological Professions who feel that they meet the person specification. The post is part of our adult community mental health (CMHT) provision in our Solihull CMHTs.
Our Psychological Services team is a friendly, dynamic, & diverse team of Clinical/Counselling Psychologists, Psychotherapists, Clinical Associates in Psychology, Assistant Psychologists, and Trainees on placement and close working with Mental Health Wellbeing Practitioners.
The role requires a skilled and highly experienced clinician, who can work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, to provide a range of clinical services. Excellent opportunities to gain experience of multilevel and integrated service provision; to further develop skills of complex case assessment, formulation and the application of evidence based psychological interventions, both individual and in groups. You should have experience of working with service users with complex mental health and behavioural needs; additionally to be familiar with the needs of a diverse BAME community and working in areas of high socioeconomic deprivation.

The post-holder will be part of a multi‑professional senior leadership team supporting the Transformation of our Community Services in BSMHFT as part of the NHS Long Term Plan.
