Position: Teacher of English (with Media/Drama opportunities) Location: Stanway Salary Scale: £120 - £320 Per Day Contract Type: Full Time, Fixed Term (Maternity Cover – 1 Year) Start Date: September 2026 GSL are seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of English to support students in a secondary school setting. This role involves teaching students and helping them develop strong literacy skills, critical thinking, and a love of language and literature within a supportive and high-achieving environment. You will work alongside experienced teachers and support staff to help students access the curriculum, build confidence, and achieve their full academic and personal potential. You will have opportunities for professional development and will support students in a range of settings, including: Delivering engaging English lessons across a variety of topics Supporting exam preparation and coursework development Teaching Media and/or Drama where applicable Enrichment and extracurricular activities such as clubs, trips, and wider school events As a Teacher of English, you will play a key role in supporting students’ academic progress and personal development. You will work closely with colleagues and other professionals to deliver engaging lessons and create a positive learning environment that enables all students to succeed.
