International Communications Senior Manager – Vision Care – International & GEM Markets.

We are currently recruiting for a International Communications Senior Manager for our Vision Care International Marketing Group (IMG). We are looking for a strategic thinker with high leadership and ownership who is comfortable working with multi-functional colleagues across the world. You have an end-to-end mindset to drive Communications within the Vision Care International Marketing Group (IMG) and Growth & Export Markets (GEM) from project management to execution. You will work closely with both teams and select markets to support the design and delivery of the Communications strategies PR to amplify new product launches and growth drivers within international markets, in close collaboration with a wide variety of internal stakeholders. Geographic scope includes Italy, UK, Germany, Spain, Nordics, China, Japan, Korea, Middle East and more. You will also support internal communication strategies targeting our Alcon associates, bringing to life our company culture and consistent messaging on key topics.
In this role, a typical day will include:
* Driving Alcon’s story as the leading eye care company targeting professionals &/or consumers working closely with many stakeholders, including Global and International Communications teams, IMG multifunctional and GEM teams. Lead the development and execution of Communications strategies for new product launches and growth drivers in priority markets and enable other markets across International to execute Communications strategies. Leading the development of content to win with AI LLM search, and content which is seamlessly integrated in Alcon marketing programs for key moments on the consumer journey.
* Engaging Alcon associates by contributing to the internal communications needs of Communications, such as developing reactive statements/FAQs on products &/or organizational changes, or coordinating content, flow, and influencing topics of Vision Care International or GEM Townhalls.
* Supporting functional measurement needs for Vision Care and GEM such as ensuring international coverage in key markets is included in aligned tracking platforms, mapping out International top trade and consumer media, consistently refining approach based on the data and analytics.
* Being a key partner and counsel to Global and International Communications teams, Vision Care IMG and GEM teams, bringing a point of view grounded in experience and the company story telling and positioning, shaped through strong stakeholder relationships and expert consultation to deliver thoughtful, culturally aligned solutions.
* Using feedback and agile approaches to help continuously improve International comms priorities.
What you’ll bring to Alcon:
* A University degree with a minimum of 5 years of communications experience. Experience in the Healthcare industry is a plus.
* Excellent communication/copywriting ability in English: adept at developing communication plans that travel across markets/regions and for multiple media channels (earned, owned and paid, internal newsletters, company intranet/Viva Engage, etc.); Competent in communicating across multiple geographies and cultures; Ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English. Additional languages a plus.
* Strong collaboration skills with a positive mindset: ability and passion for collaborating with and influencing a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, strong appreciation for different cultures and ways of working, agility in working across geographies and timings.
* Agile self-starter: ability to work independently, curious mindset to find solutions to challenges through data driven thinking. Passion for continuously learning.
