In this rewarding full-time role, you will:
* Inspire Artistic Exploration: Deliver engaging and dynamic Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, and potentially 5, fostering a deep appreciation for diverse artistic practices, techniques, and historical contexts within the dynamic cultural landscape of Barking.
* Develop Visual Skills: Equip students with essential artistic skills in drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, and digital media.
* Contribute to the Creative Life of the School: Support and potentially lead extracurricular art clubs and exhibitions, enriching the visual arts provision within our Barking school.
* Collaborate with a Passionate Arts Team: Work alongside dedicated colleagues in Music, Drama, and Dance, sharing expertise and contributing to a vibrant artistic community in Barking.
* Thrive in a Dynamic East London Borough: Engage with students from diverse backgrounds in the creative heart of Barking, drawing inspiration from the local artistic scene.
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Art teacher with a passion for working with young people and a strong understanding of the Art and Design curriculum, ideally with knowledge of the Barking community.
