Job Description
Operations Manager
This is a proper insurance operations role, not admin, not box-ticking, and definitely not back office.
I’m working with a Global Insurance Broker who are looking for an Operations Manager who understands how insurance really works and can sit confidently between the front office and central functions.
You’ll be the first line of defence for the team. The person people go to when things need fixing, tightening, or improving, and the one senior leadership trust to keep operations, data and compliance on track.
What you’ll be doing
* Supporting the Head of Team with revenue tracking, budgeting and business planning
* Acting as the operational escalation point for the team
* Owning KPIs, reporting, audits, UDS data and renewals
* Overseeing compliance testing, credit control, aged debt and complaints
* Working closely with IT and central services to improve reporting and systems
* Managing onboarding, documentation and contract certainty
* Engaging with underwriters on binders, schemes, bordereaux and renewals
* Making sure data integrity and cross-sell tracking are where they should be
You’ll have visibility, influence, and the authority to challenge when needed.
Who this suits
This will suit someone who has:
* Insurance experience, either from an operational or broking background
* Hands-on exposure to schemes, binders or facilities
* Confidence working with underwriters and senior stakeholders
* Strong data, reporting and financial awareness
* A commercial mindset and the backbone to push back when required
You’ll be detail-driven, resilient, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment.
Why it’s worth a look
Roles like this don’t come up often.
It’s a chance to play a central role in how a specialist insurance business operates and grows, without being buried in bureaucracy.
If you’re in insurance ops from a broking or insurer background and want a role with real influence, this is worth a conversation.
